Pam Drayton

Pam has always enjoyed playing basketball, but when she was in seventh grade an older girl whom she respected got a full college scholarship to play basketball, she realized this sport could actually take her somewhere.  Over the years basketball has not only taken her places but taught her even more and that is why she continues to coach today.  She was a 1,000 point scorer in both High school and college.  She played four years at the University  of New Hampshire where she received All-Conference honors and finished her senior year shooting 65% from the floor.  This is still the best all time shooting percentage in college history for a season.

After college she coached various High School levels in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.  As a Coach, Pam focuses on the relationship she has with the players and parents, while developing a team atmosphere where all players can thrive! She once met gold Medalist Billy Mills who said “sport for sport sake is meaningless, sport to teach life values is sacred”. And that is what she tries to do while coaching basketball.

She currently resides in Cary with her husband and four children. Where she enjoys all of her children playing various levels of basketball and watching Cary football win the state Championship!
