We will be hand-selecting players from Barrington and the surrounding Northwest suburbs of Chicago for all of our spring travel teams. These teams will practice two times a week for 1.5 hours at Canlan Sports in Lake Barrington.
One practice will consist of all skills training, which will be lead by one of our lead trainers. The second practice will be a team practice led by the team's head coach, which they will focus in on offensive and defensive strategies in preparation for our tournaments.
If your child is selected to play on one of our teams, a down payment will be required immediately to hold their spot. We will then collect the remaining fee prior to seasons start.

When Choosing A Program - Ask Yourself
-
What kind of attention are YOU getting?
-
WHAT ARE YOU PAYING FOR? HOW MANY HOURS ARE YOU IN THE GYM? (HOW IS IT SPENT?)
-
WHO ARE YOU IN THE GYM WITH?
-
Is it about the PLAYER? The coach? The program?
-
What kind of knowledge/philosophy is ACTUALLY being taught?
At Midwest Lakers, we take our coaching responsibility seriously; we assess talent objectively, treat everyone equally, and provide opportunities for those who commit fully to their personal development.
Standardized Philosophy for Development:
Our Goal:
To develop the PHYSICAL, MENTAL, & EMOTIONAL skills of our players for them to compete in this extremely athletic game.
Our System:
Designed to develop talent, not just win scoreboards. The objective is to provide instruction and opportunities for the child to MAKE plays.
Simply put, we believe in developing our players to MAKE PLAYS, not just RUN PLAYS!
